Who are our Volunteers?
Our volunteer team includes individuals who have firsthand experience with environmental illness or who have dedicated years—often decades—to supporting patients in recovery. They contribute their time, skills, and compassion to help fulfill the foundation’s mission and ensure every patient feels supported and understood.
How does our grant/application process work?
The grant process begins when you submit your application and required supporting documents. Once received, our Board of Directors reviews the materials. An interview may be requested as part of the evaluation process. After final review, applicants are notified of the decision and, if approved, the awarded amount. Grant funds are paid directly to the patient invoice at the time of service.
Can I set up a time to speak to someone before I apply?
Yes, you can schedule a discovery call with our Program Coordinator.
Who is eligible for a grant?
Individuals aged 16 or older who are navigating chronic illness, demonstrate financial need, and are seeking care with one of our participating providers are eligible to apply. Financial assistance is available to individuals affected by Lyme disease, mold biotoxin illness, multiple chemical sensitivity, breast implant illness, arthritis, cancer, Crohn’s disease, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and other complex conditions that may benefit from cellular repair and restorative care. We also support individuals with documented symptoms associated with cellular toxicity.
What is our goal and approach to treatment?
Thrive Health Foundation is dedicated to supporting individuals with chronic illnesses caused by environmental factors, with a specialized focus on advancing medical understanding and treatment of complex health conditions. We support a holistic cellular approach which goes beyond traditional symptom based treatments. By bridging scientific research, advanced diagnostic techniques, and targeted treatments, we aim to improve patient outcomes and push the boundaries of environmental medicine.
What types of treatments do you help fund?
We assist with medically necessary treatments offered by our participating providers. These may include diagnostic evaluations, targeted therapies, follow-up visits, and other services that support the patient’s recovery process. Eligibility is determined based on medical need, documentation, and available funds.
How long does the application process take?
Most applicants receive a decision within 4 weeks after submitting all required documents. Timelines may vary slightly based on application volume and the need for follow-up information.
Are grants recurring or one-time only?
Grants are currently awarded on a one-time basis. Applicants may reapply in the future if their medical needs continue and funds are available.
Can family members apply on behalf of a patient?
Yes. Parents, guardians, or designated caregivers may submit an application on behalf of a patient, as long as accurate documentation is provided and the patient meets eligibility requirements.
Is my medical information kept confidential?
Absolutely. All medical and personal information submitted to the foundation is kept strictly confidential and used only for the purpose of evaluating your grant application in accordance with our privacy and HIPAA data protection policies. All of our staff have completed HIPAA training certificates.
Do you assist patients outside the United States?
At this time, our programs are designed for U.S.-based patients. As the foundation grows, we may expand our reach to international applicants depending on resources and provider availability.
How is the foundation funded?
Thrive Health Foundation is funded through charitable donations from individuals, families, and organizations who share our commitment to supporting those living with chronic environmental illness. We operate with a volunteer working board to keep overhead low, allowing the majority of contributions to go directly toward patient support.
Can I donate to support patient care?
Yes. Donations of any size make a direct and meaningful impact. Contributions support grant funding, patient education resources, and future initiatives. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Learn More.
